NHL Playoff Game 1 Recaps
Winnipeg Jets 5, St. Louis Blues 3
The Jets secured a NHL Playoff Game 1 victory over the Blues, with Kyle Connor scoring the decisive goal late in the third period. Winnipeg's offense proved too much for St. Louis to handle.
Colorado Avalanche 5, Dallas Stars 1
The Avalanche dominated the Stars in their series opener, showcasing their offensive prowess and solid defense to take a 1-0 series lead.
Carolina Hurricanes 4, New Jersey Devils 1
Logan Stankoven scored twice, propelling the Hurricanes to a convincing victory over the Devils. Carolina's defense stifled New Jersey's offense, limiting them to a single goal.
Toronto Maple Leafs 6, Ottawa Senators 2
The Maple Leafs dominated their series opener against the Senators, with Mitch Marner leading the charge with a goal and two assists. Toronto capitalized on Ottawa's penalties, scoring three power-play goals to secure the win.
Vegas Golden Knights 4, Minnesota Wild 2
Brett Howden netted two goals in the 3rd period to secure the Golden Knights Game 1 win against the Wild. Tomas Hertl contributed a goal and an assist, while goaltender Adin Hill made 18 saves.Â
This is the second meet up between the Knights and Wild in the playoffs, the other occurrence coming in 2021, and Las Vegas taking the series.
With Vegas winning all three regular season match ups this year and now Game 1, they will look to continue the trend in Game 2.
