The Vegas Golden Knights secured a 5–3 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Defenseman Noah Hanifin broke a 15-game goalless streak by scoring the game-winning goal with 1:55 remaining, and Ivan Barbashev added an empty-netter to seal the victory. Brett Howden and Nicolas Roy each contributed a goal and an assist, while Reilly Smith provided two assists. Alexander Holtz also scored on a power play. Goaltender Adin Hill made 14 saves as Vegas ended the regular season with a 29–9–3 home record, tying their franchise record for home wins in a season. ​

The Kings maintained their second-place position with a 5–4 win over the Colorado Avalanche, led by Kevin Fiala's two goals. ​


Jets' Historic Achievement & Playoff Races


In the Western Conference, the Winnipeg Jets clinched both the Central Division title and the top seed in the conference for the first time in franchise history. The Jets boast a 55–21–4 record, with Kyle Connor leading the team with 94 points.​


The Eastern Conference wild card race remains tight, with several teams vying for the final spot. The Senators have locked up the top wild card seat but one spot remains open between the Canadians and the Blue Jackets. While in the West the wild card is down to 3 teams vying for the final 2 spots between the Wild, Blues, and Flames.


As the regular season winds down do 2-3 games for all the teams, each game become crucial in determining postseason positioning.
